Andy Kyte & Matt Fox

Andy Kyte is performing two songs tonight with Matt Fox who has a unique approach to playing the ukulele. Andy is primarily a guitar player but for the first time ever he will be performing his songs on a ukulele!

Andy has been song-writing for over six years now. After his band ended in February he started focusing on writing acoustic-based songs. He has been writing songs about his passion for life in London.

Andy and Matt have been playing together for almost two months now, and although it’s only been a short time they’ve already got gigs lined up, including a gig at the ‘Oh! Bar’ in Camden Town on November 7th.

It's Good To Be Home

Canada Water. Canada Water is a body of water and wildlife refuge in Rotherhithe in the Docklands in south-east London. The lake is named after the former Canada Dock which was located on this site, and which was mainly used by ships from Canada. After the dock closed in the 1970s the area was allowed to decay. During the 1980s, the London Docklands Development Corporation took over, and invested heavily in the redevelopment of Canada Water and the surrounding area. About half of Canada Dock was filled in and the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre built on top of it; the remainder was converted into a wildlife refuge. A canal remains linking Canada Water with Surrey Water.
