About Colin Tribe

Colin is a musician - teacher, performer, arranger, composer, examiner and lately a self confessed Ukeholic. Whilst devising a syllabus for Victoria College of Music, which included a specially arranged set of books for ukulele players, he developed an addiction for the ukulele and so decided to create an exam for ukulele players who wanted to develop melodic skills in addition to those of accompanying. This is now published by Victoria College www.vcmexams.com.

The love of arranging this “music in miniature” has resulted in a YouTube channel www.youtube.com/colinrtribe which has over 60 Fingerstyle ukulele arrangements, a series of DVD tutorials and a tutor called “Uniquelele”. In his workshops, as well as demonstrating the songs, Colin will show how the songs could be used in the Self-Accompanied Singing Exam and also how they can be turned into Uniquelele solo pieces.
